Filter system is similar to The Derma Co's — same trade-offs around octinoxate. Where this product earns its place is the supportive ingredients: ceramides (multiple types), panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, ethyl ascorbic acid and niacinamide. The catch is that all these brightening/barrier ingredients sit toward the end of the ingredient list, meaning concentrations are likely well under 1% each. They contribute, but if you're buying primarily for the niacinamide or ceramides, you'd get more from a separate serum. Buy it for the texture, treat the actives as a bonus.
