What it does
A silicone carrying a positive charge, so it is drawn to damaged, negatively charged spots on the hair shaft rather than coating everything evenly.
Benefits
Adds slip and shine where the cuticle is roughest, reduces breakage during combing, and builds up far less than older silicones like dimethicone.
Concerns & Risks
Still a silicone — those avoiding them on principle will want to skip it. Does not penetrate the scalp and is not absorbed.
